Tourmaline is a very popular and beautiful mineral that comes in a variety of colors, styles and shapes. At Hands of Spirit Gallery we have rare Watermelon, Indicolite, Green, Rubellite, Dravite, and Schorl, on display. Much of what we have comes from locales such as Brazil, Australia, Nepal, Namibia, Afghanistan, and Madagascar. We also carry Tourmaline jewelry from India and have some Paraiba cabochons in beautiful turquoise blue colors from Brazil.
Tourmaline is a borosilicate mineral. The general formula for Tourmalines is XY3Z6B3Si6O27(OH)3(OH,F), where X=(Ca,K,Na), Y=(Al,Fe, Li, Mg,Mn), and Z=(Al,Cr,Fe,V)6. and it has a Mohs hardness of 7-7.5.

Tourmaline clears, maintains, and stimulates all of the chakras bringing one in tune with the rhythms of the soul. The striations present in tourmaline allow it to channel and direct energy. It encourages inspirations and self-confidence. It diminishes fear by promoting understanding, and balances the left and right sides of the brain.
