Aura Quartzes
One question that comes up at the Gallery and many of our shows is if Aqua, Flame, and Opal Aura Quartz are real or natural minerals. They are all quite popular and can be stunning to view. Melody, Judy Hall, and others write extensively about their properties. The question can be answered with both a yes and a no. Yes, they all are a combination of naturally occurring minerals, and no, they are not seen naturally in these forms, but through a plating process that bonds one mineral to another.
Aqua Aura Quartz is the combination of pure Gold and Quartz. As with all the Aura Quartzes, this combination of the various minerals will bring one the properties of them all. Aqua Aura Quartz for example will bring one all the special properties of Gold and those of Quartz in general. Melody also writes that in addition, “this crystal form also stimulates the throat chakra and encourages “opening to channel”. It has also been used to activate the energy of other minerals for healing. It has been used extensively to cleanse and to smooth the aura, to activate all chakras, and to release negativity from ones emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual bodies.”
Flame Aura Quartz is made by combining Titanium, Niobium, and Quartz. A few of its metaphysical properties according to Melody are that it “assists in meditation and has stimulated the movement of the Kundalini to the crown chakra. It has been used to provide for reduction in body temperature when fever is present, for elimination of water retention and elimination of dehydration.” Flame Aura she also states, “acts as a preservative to well-being and healthful-ness (e.g. assisting in maintaining same and tending to integrate with the body to allow cellular recognition of the perfect state of well-ness).
Opal Aura Quartz combines pure Platinum and Quartz which Melody relates produces “very intense energy”. “This crystal form also cleanses the aura and acts to stimulate and to cleanse all chakras.” Melody also states that “Opal Aura” is also a “stone of romance” and a “stone of love”, acting to bring both to ones life.” Additional properties for Opal, Flame and Aqua can be found in Melody’s books.
